for trans folks
Recent studies have found that over 90% of Two-Spirit, trans and gender diverse individuals stop participating in sporting, fitness and physical recreation activities after coming out due to lack of inclusive and accessibility.
Our Fun & Fitness program creates a pathway to be able to reengage with those activities and our bodies through a variety of events which are all specifically for and by the trans and gender diverse community.

Affirming Yoga for Trans Folks
Wednesday, April 23 | 5pm
Every Body Stronger (2501 Alyth Rd SE)
This is a private, gentle 60 minute yoga class for Two-Spirit, trans and gender diverse individuals. It is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced individuals.
If you have a yoga mat of your own, please bring it, but if you don't have one, there are a few for folks to use. It is encouraged that folks bring a water bottle and a towel as well.

Affirming Movement for Trans Folks
Tuesday, April 29 | 5pm
Every Body Stronger (2501 Alyth Rd SE)
This is a private, upbeat 60 minutes fitness class for Two-Spirit, trans and gender diverse individuals. Participants will explore various ways to move their body to encourage mobility and joy. This is a higher energy class but still approachable for beginners.
