Research Participants Needed: Workplace Experiences of Sexual and Gender Minority People in Canada

Researchers at the University of Western Ontario and the Social Research and Demonstration Corporation have partnered with Pride at Work Canada and the Labour Market Information Council to conduct a study on the workplace experiences of sexual and gender minority people in Canada. This study is specifically interested in how people’s gender identity, gender expression, and/or sexual orientation shape their experiences at work, as well as career pathways.

To take part in the study, participants must: self-identify as a sexual and/or gender minority (e.g., lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, etc.); be currently or recently (i.e., in the past 2 years) employed; be between the ages of 18 and 59; live in Canada; and speak English. Participants will be asked to participate in a one-on-one interview and/or focus group discussion with members of the research team. Participants will receive a $50 gift card as a thank you for their time.

If you would like to take part in the study or would like additional information, please contact the research team directly at lgbtq2voices@srdc.org.
